Though, it offers the advantage of features such as a single-sheet tray, wireless networking and manual double-sided printing.

Especially if you are a student, or are looking for a printer for your basic home of office printing then considering ML-2525W really is a smart move. One of the biggest reason why we recommend ML-2525W to you is its $150 price, which definitely will be a lot of help for the people who have just came out of the financial crisis and also its price makes ML-2525W  the cheapest laser printers that we’ve tested till date. Considering the capability of churning flawless prints at a brisk pace and for a great price, we don’t have any problems in recommending Samsung ML-2525W to our really basic printer buyers.

Design

The laser printers certainly are not the ones which are known for their aesthetics, and their yawn-inducing aesthetics have earned them a scarred reputation in market, and the same is the case with ML-2525W. The Samsung ML-2525W, although, have got few flairs here and there to separate it from the crowd, but still it doesn’t go much far. The physical features for the printer hasn’t changed a lot since the Samsung ML-2851ND, and the only exception is of the a textured check outline covering the top of the paper tray positioned at the top of the printer and the flat black finish. Also Samsung ML-2525W is tad lighter and weighs 16.9 pounds, which clearly means that Samsung has made it nine pounds lighter than Samsung ML-2851ND. Even the dimensions are short and it measures 7.8 x 14.2 x 15.3 inches (H x W x D).

Positioned at the top of the printer is two LCD screens and one huge big power button. The LCDs are positioned to display network status and print activity. There also is a button for canceling any ongoing print job and demo print. The input tray is fixed at the bottom of the printer and can hold up to normal 250 sheets of printing paper, but Samsung also gives you the option of purchasing a 250-sheet drawer accessory. Lastly there is a manual tray located right under the toner-access handle allows you to feed the printing sheets into the printer.

The Samsung ML-2525W can be connected to the computer in different ways. There is a customary USB 2.0 port to provide wired access, then there also is an Ethernet port providing wired networking and for wireless networking there is an 802.11b/g print server. All the three ways of connecting the printer require you to connect the USB 2.0 cord to printer, just before sniffing out networks.
